Reminder about final project and assessment

2014-04-02

Can you believe the course is almost over? This is a friendly reminder that the submission deadline for your Making Sense of Data Course final project and final assessment is Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:59 PM PDT (see corresponding time in your area).

If you need assistance completing the project, be sure to use the course forum.

Once you have completed your project and assessment, make sure you turn them in by using the submission button on the Final Project assignment page. You need to complete both final project parts and score above 70% on the assessment to earn your course certificate.

After you have completed the project and assessment, please take a few moments to provide course feedback using the Post Course Survey. We will use your responses to improve this course. Your answers will be collected and stored anonymously.

The course closes on April 4th, 2014. After April 4th, you can continue to view and utilize the course materials, but the course forum will close and there will not be any further support from Google course staff. Also, you will not be able to view or print your certificate after that date. We appreciate your participation in the course and hope you have learned a few new data management techniques.

Mid-Course Questionnaire is now available!

2014-03-24

Hello,

Can you believe we’re halfway through the Making Sense of Data course already?

Take the mid-course questionnaire that is available today and mark your calendar for the upcoming Hangout on Air for Wednesday, March 26, 2014.

This questionnaire is designed for you to reflect on your experiences and attitudes about working with data, as well as this course. Your responses will be matched with the background questionnaire, anonymized, and provided to other students in the course for the purpose of practicing analysis skills. So that we can clean and process the data, the submission deadline for the mid-course questionnaire is March 27, 2014 at 11:59 PT.

Also, we will be hosting our first Hangout on Air on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, from 10-11am PT. We will be talking about how to apply the concepts from the course using Google Sheets, as well as answering your course-related questions. Google Sheets is another great tool that you can use to manage your data. The Hangout on Air will be broadcast on the Google Online Courses YouTube channel. You can submit your questions on Google Moderator before the hangout begins.

Happy learning,
